Trieste through the eyes of the main writers (Italian, Slovenian, dialect and Europeans) which have lived and sung her: Italo Svevo, Umberto Saba, James Joyce, Srečko Kosovel, Claudio Magris, Giorgio Voghera, Boris Pahor, Virgilio Giotti and other.

Historical centre, the area of the Jewish ghetto (remains only a low wall), the old town with its narrow and dirty streets, Museum Joyce and Svevo, Via San Nicolò (entrance to the library of U. Saba), Borgo Teresiano (the Teresian area), Largo Barriera Vecchia with the pastry Pirona frequented by Joyce, and Viale XX Settembre a gift to the city of Domenico Rossetti. Walking in the garden with the original busts of many writers and celebrities lived in Trieste.

Visit of some of the leading literary Cafes: the San Marco, where often meets Claudio Magris, the Tommaseo, the Stella Polare (North Star),in which Cergolj set scenes of his novel »Il complesso dell’imperatore« (Franz Josef, of course).
